Why can I not longer load mpegs from my files or video camera into the Pro x 2.5 timeline?

I can no longer load mpeg videos into my Pro x2.5 timeline. I was able to for the last year, after free activation. Now it is telling me that I can't, don't have permission from the administrator (I am the administrator) or whatever. This is frustrating. I am losing business here! I have used Magix for eight years. How bout some assistance. D. R. "Raggy" Ragsdale.

Is this a computer running Windows 7 or Vista?

What has changed on the computer immediately before this error?

You can test if is it Windows User Access Control - WARNING this will make your computer less secure.

Open up Control Panel, and select User Accounts. You’ll see a link for “Change User Account Control Settings” - drag the slider to the bottom.

Test VPX again.
