Why are my edit effects and view tabs hiding on magix music maker?

If I understand you correctly (and I'm not sure that I do), you may be in "Easy Mode".

Just below the MAGIX logo at the upper left-hand corner, there is a "switch" that allows you to go between Easy Mode and Advanced Mode.
