I have MAGIX Fastcut ver 2.0.1.145 (UDP3), and I am trying to follow the instruction on P.32 of "manual_magixfastcut_en.pdf" to create my own template. But there's no "New template from own music" button on the screen. (Actually the interface for selecting the template is slightly different from the one shown on P.14 of the manual.) Is there any settings to turn on this function?
I'm using Windows 10 Pro on Dell Latitude 5175 with Core m5, 8G memory and 256GB SSD.
All the tutorials show that there is an option to create a template from your own music but I am not seeing that option at all in my copy I just purchased today. Really would like an answer as well on how to create a template from a song.
I have same problem, "Create your own template" is greyed out and can't be clicked... even template list filter don't work :(
mine too. i want to use my music, but the button is greyed out in the trial software.
and trying with the license from the recent humble bundle, the FASTCUT version linked to that is so old (1.0.0.9) that the button isn't even there. Please developers answer this, we are waiting to hear you out. thank you.

If you bought Fastcut off Humble-Bundle back then im March i have to tell you that you're using the very first version of Fastcut which was released in 2014.
If you're using the actual Version (V 2.0.0.1. or higher) you start Fastcut and skip right through to the Main Workspace and go to "Help" -> "Update online" to check for you updates.
You can also just install the newest version available online http://dl03.magix.net/fastcut3_dlm.exe and skip right to the V3.0.0.1. Version. It only works if you have an active Update-Service for V2.0.0.1. or higher.
Maybe some of you also are running a trail version and you didnt register your product key. You can fix that by entering to the main Workspace and go to "Help" -> "Activate programm" (2nd from below)
