where is the ADVANCED SETTINGS button on PhotoStory

rk2015 wrote on 3/2/2015, 6:27 AM

the HELP pages make mention of a button and/or a menu option that is meant to be labelled "Advanced Settings" but I cannot find any trace of it --- it is meant to allow you to fine-tune the MPEG bitrate and other features as the defaults are producing a file that is too large to upload (more than 750 meg) --- thanks in advance for any advice given ...

Hi,

The advanced settings that you are referring to are in more than one location. For export, on the MPEG export screen, you should see the Advanced button to the right of Format description. Same thing on the MPEG-4 export screen.

For Burning, Go to Burn (menu screens), then Burn (button), select DVD, select Encoder settings beside 2 Disc format, and you will see the Advanced button at the bottom left.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.  I tried changed the settings using the Advanced button before exporting my footage to MPEG-4 format but the software still did not work.  I am able to export in MPEG-2 and Windows Media format but not with MPEG-4 even though I bought the MPEG-4 license from MAGIX and installed it correctly.

It might be worth mentioning that I did contact Tech Support shortly after posting this but the problem was NEVER resolved and I have been stuck with using MPEG 2 as a format for the past 7 years.

I had purchased an upgrade to the software in good faith but had not been advised that it required a 64-bit system and now that I have finally been able to install it on one the installation system doesn't work.

Why are there installation and activation issues on ALL of the MAGIX products when those from other manufacturers are able to be installed almost effortlessly ?
