Where'd the track options go?

Hi,

Another note about Storyboard mode - it's more convenient for those adding photos rather than videos. You lose the sense of duration. I use Video Pro X and the Standard mode does not include a button for Storyboard mode. I have to change to Basic mode to be able to use Storyboard, something I almost never do. I just thought that i would point out the possibility. I have noticed that in some versions of Movie Studio, the first startup was in Storyboard mode. This could throw off a new user who was looking for the timeline.

Another point, you may want to change the default image import duration (Standard picture length) from 7 seconds to something shorter. I use 4 seconds. This is in the Program Settings, Y. Take note of the other parameters on the same screen.

I played with it a little yesterday. Storyboard mode is good for ordering the clips for edit. It give you a big picture view without having to scroll back and forth. I would not edit in that mode but for initial placement of the elements I find it useful.

I also played around in the settings. I will have to watch the video about sound editing because even if I choose the option not to have audio on the same track as video in the settings, all it seems to do is show the waveform of the audio under the video now. I hope the tuturial will give me a better ideal how to edit audio,

Hi,

The Everything Audio videos don't show much "how to" detail as I tried to cover everything to give users an idea as to what is available in the programs, and there is a lot.

...if I choose the option not to have audio on the same track as video in the settings, all it seems to do is show the waveform of the audio under the video now.

Choosing this does not affect whatever is already on the timeline. If you have any videos already on the timeline with audio and video on the same track, Ctrl+H will put them on 2 tracks.

Any new imports will put AV on separate tracks, grouped, as you don't want the audio to go of sync inadvertently.

MMS has object volume curves and track volume curves. You'll see this in the videos.
