When recording video using Video Saver, video freezes from time to time.

Hello!

I'm having problems with my video capturing. When recording a video from the VCR to the computer, the video file freezes every two or three minutes, and then keeps playing again. Also, using a stereo VCR with both L/R channel cables plugged in, I only get mono playback. It doesn't matter if stereo is checked in the software.

My computer has 2gb:s of ram and was bought in the early 2000's. Could it be that my hardware is not sufficient? The CPU is an AMD, but I have no idea at what frequency. Oh, and I'm using Win Vista.

Does anyone have experience with a similar problem, and do you have a solution perhaps?

Thanks, Richard.

Hi

Sounds like you are dropping frames during the capture possibly, as you suspect, because the pc is not up to  speed and has 2Gb of RAM, for video capture.

You can try running your computer idsconnected from the Internet with your anti virus, any anti spamware programs and any other non essential programs turned off to see if this improves the performance.

HTH
