When I upload an .avi video to Video Easy, I can't see the scenes in the scene overview to edit.  Help?I see the first frame of the film itself, but no other scenes after.   This means it's impossible to edit.  Any suggestions?  Is the .avi format the issue?

Hi

Can you see all the scenes in timeline mode ?

avi is not a format it is a file container format you may need to find out what type of file is inside the avi.

Use GSpot or MediaInfo to analyse the file - this will tell you what the required codecs are.  GSpot will also tell you if it is able to render the video - the buttons are bottom left of the window - and if the cdecs are installed on your computer.

Hi

First apologies Video Easy does not have a timeline mode - was going from memory..

I have found the same problem with the image of the some scenes missing, however this does not affect the editting of the clips.

I can select the clips that have no image and move through them  as normal using the slider below the preview window and see them in the preview window.

This does not appear to affect any thing else apart from not seing the image in the scene as can be seen in this image.  The scenes 1,2 and 3 are one video clip cut twice in different positions.

If the scene is not appearing in the preview window as you move through the it, try changing the Video Mode in the programs settings to Compatability Mode (Video for Windows)
