I am using Version 3.0 Rescue Your Videotapes that I recently purchased.  I am having sound problems.  The VHS that I'm burning on my DVD's isn't producing sound when played on my VCR but does produce sound when played back on my computer DVD player. Below are some of my settings:

I'm using  user difined, 320 X 240 resolution, 29.97 Videoframe rate Jitter corrected, Quality 75 with Interlace Progressive.  Sound is set on Stereo , using 3-RCA jacks, ,man. drift 48000 ....I've tried using  HP DVD +R Disc and using HP DVD - R Disc and they both are having this problem.  Im just a consumer trying to save some of my VHS tapes so I'm not very technical... just need some advice to try.  Thanks.

Hardware is HP G60-445DX Laptop, Light Scribe Super Multi 8x DVD+/_ RW with Double Layer Support

Windows 7, 320GB Hard Drive

Hi

I think you have set a non standard audio which the VCR - is it a tape/disc combi? - cannot play - check the manual for which audio formats it can play.

Standard DVD audio should be one of the following:-

PCM: 48 kHz or 96 kHz sampling rate, 16 bit or 24 bit Linear PCM,

      AC-3: 48 kHz sampling rate, 1 to 5.1 (6) channels, up to 448 kbit/s

      MP2: 48 kHz sampling rate

      DTS: 48 kHz or 96 kHz sampling rate, 768 kbit/s or 1,536 kbit/s

HTH
