When I hit the burn button the dvd drawer keeps opening

(Photo Story Easy) I have a 4k camera, two dvd burners one being a bluray burner, 16 GB ram, and 8 core processor. When I hit the button to burn a project, the wrong drawer opens. In setting up the burn option I do hit the bluray button.

Hi.

I don't have Photo Story Easy but I'm going to hazard a guess that the burning screen you see is similar to the one pictured below (this is actually in Video Pro X):

If so, look at the two red boxes I have drawn on the screenshot; the larger box shows which of my two burners has been selected and the drop down arrow on the right allows me to select the other burner if I wish to do so. Do you have a similar option to choose which burner is used?

Hi

. . . . the wrong drawer opens . . . .

What drive descriptors do you see in the Photostory recorder option as shown in the image below - as you can see I have a DVD and a BD writer, they are clearly identified correctly and the appropriate one opens as selected from the burner selection drop down for DVD and BD, including when I select the DVD drive when burning a BD, the DVD opens for a disc to be inserted.

Thank you, that was the answer, so often you don't get one. When you do, your day is made.
