what is being conveyed when it states "the output of the sound card has to be connected to the speakers"

when music is copied from the styles to the Arranger, it will not play audibly...why?

Well....this seems to be too easy, but I just got to ask:

1.
What is actually connected to the output of your soundcard (usually the green slot)?

2.
Do you maybe have two soundcards (one onboard, on soundcard - or maybe even external) and the program is trying to use the wrong one?

Do you have sound in other instances? For example do you have sound during regular use of your computer but just not when music is copied to your arrangement. Can your preview the sound before you copy it?

Perhaps you need to configure your sound card in the Playback Parameters of Music Maker.
