I own MP3 Maker 12. I am in Canada. The web station update downloads the new information then terminates with an error indicating that the database cannot be updated. I have had lengthy emails with the Support staff, they asked me to run a system check (they provided the software), I sent them the results. I was hoping that they would provide the necessary support for the software that I bought but their response was "You might just need to un-install it. There are some compatibility issues with some of these programs and our software."
"What does that mean? Which programs?" I asked. Then they replied "I gave you the cause of the problem but I can not suggest you turn off your virus software as that would make us liable. We do our best to make our programs work and be supported. However there are times customers will run into problems. This is in part to the vast array of software and hardware options in the world that we can not possibly know everything about."
They have refused to respond to any of my further questions. Love that kind of Customer Support, makes you wonder what you paid for; maybe software that cannot exist with other programs on your computer. Be careful with what you buy from MAGIX!!
