VST problems... (Izotope Breaktweakers AND Reason RACK)

Oh boy, ACID 10 is... ah hem... a terrible update from 9
I bought REASON RACK and IZOTOPE Breaktweaker and they absolutly DO NOT work in version 10 BUT do work in version 9. SO don't tell me that it's a REASON and IZOTOPE problem (and yes, I checked if I had the EVIL anti virus that they state is the problem, but NOPE... ) So what's the deal here ??? RE-Contacted SUPPORT and they were no support (after they told me too wait for the latest update, which did not change anything)... but they did send me a link to evaluate their support though HAHAHA !!

Anyone having the same issues ? Maybe you found a way to fix this ?

Thanks !

I noticed an identical issue with Reason Rack in Samplitude Pro X4 Suite. The latest update of Reason Lite (or Reason) doesn't show up as a plugin. Neither the Instrument nor the FX show up in the browser, so it's likely an issue with MAGIX's VST Scanner.

It does scan properly in Cubase Pro 10.5 and Cakewalk by BandLab (2020.10 EA), so it's not an issue with the Reason Rack Plugin.

Didn't have these issues with iZotope BreakTweaker, though.

ACID Pro 8 supported the Reason Rack Plugin when I previously checked. I think some DAWs broke when Reason launched the 11.3 update. Studio One was having some issues finding the Plugin, in the past, as well.

Thanks, good to know that I'm not the only one. I just did a(nother) major upadte 10 minutes ago. Rescanned and force rebuilt all vst and...................... NOT A SINGLE CHANGE !!! Reason Rack still doesn't work and iZotope BreakTweaker still doesn't load... This is the version that did it for me, no more ACID PRO... I will be using the version 10 but will not be buying another single software from this company. Too bad, I really enjoyed the product for a long time when it was working fine... Time to move to another DAW...

Hello, I am having the same issues with BreakTweaker under Magix ACID Pro 10.

I sent a support request to Izotope. I bought the Community Bundle which included BreakTweaker and I was excited to try it out. Izotope's ProductPortal shows it installed with add-ons, and it's listed along with the other VST3s. But when I insert a MIDI event and play some notes, the interface doesn't initialize or open.

But as you've surmised BreakTweaker does work in ACID Pro 9. Sigh...frankly, I can't see why this is even the case.

I hope it gets resolved. As it stands I have Sony ACID Pro 7 and MAGIX ACID Pro 9 & 10 all installed because of VST issues. Stupid. I wonder if the folk using the "popular and famous" DAWs have this issue?

You have to download the BreakTweaker Expanded installer from your account overview and install the BT . And install it . Check VST folders are correct too.

The ACID Pro installers, all versions, should be under your "My Products" page on the MAGIX website. For me, I can see ACID Pro versions 7, 9, & 10. But since ACID Pro 7 was under a Sony license there is no installer for download (though I already have it on backup), just 9 and 10. MAGIX may be able to provide you an earlier copy.

The old update download will always take you to the newest version ,its a server thing so i have been told.

Acid 7 will be found on the net just look for demo download its out there to be found....
