VPX6 ProDad Heroglyph 4LE-Installed but can't find it??

dstrege08 wrote on 10/11/2014, 4:24 PM

I've actually installed a couple of times, but can not locate it. Directions indicate where to put activation code, but I can't open program to enter activation cade.

I haven't had much luck searching for an answer, although I thought a while back there was some talk about it. This is the LE that came with my VPX6 purchase.

I have printed and re-read the 'more information on installation and activation...' link, but here I still sit.

I realize I'm not the quickest learner, but even when I go into the folder on C:\Program Files\ProDad\Heroglyph there is nothing in the folder.

Any thoughts or help for an old man?? :)

Hi David,

Did you look under Titles in the Media pool? It should show up at the bottom of the list in installed. It is not under effects where I expected to find it.

David,

I just re-read your question and you say that there is nothing under C:\Program Files\ProDad\Heroglyph.

You should have C:\Program Files\proDAD\Heroglyph-4.0 with many folders and files. Did you find anything yet?

I presume that you purchased X6 on-line and you installed proDAD Heroglyph 4 LE by clicking on the download program link that you received in the email. Correct? If so, there is also a link that describes how to install and activate. I did not download it as it installed correctly, but you may want to take a look if you still have problems.

Regards,

Hi browj2,

Thank you for the fast and helpful responses. I was able to finally find heroglyph 4LE under title. I'm curious though, I went back and looked into the folder again and it still was empty. You mentioned that there should be subfolders, etc. there. I may have to go back to be sure I'm looking in the right place.

Thanks again for the help.

I have a number of the previous Movie Edit Pro programs also installed. Out of curiousity, do you know i any of these previous plugins attached with previous video programs from Magix could work in VPX6? It would be great to make use of all of  these "extras" that I received from Magix would somehow work with my current Magix video purchase. Just thought I ask.

Thanks again so much for the fast reply.

Hi David,

I'm glad that you got Heroglyph working.

See the links in this link about older plugins. Unfortunately they won't work.

However, there are many other effects templates that Magix did not bother to include in VPX6. You can copy most of these over to the corresponding folders and they work without even having to touch the ini files. The ini files are pretty much complete, but the corresponding files are missing, but available in MEP2014. There are a couple of strange ones that I haven't figured out yet. Let me know if you need more details as to how to do this.
