It should be possible but the manual says AVC Intra requires a fee-based initial activation. So you have to pay extra once you buy VPX7.

HI

. . . .to see if it is able to handle AVC format . . .

What is the source of the AVC file?

AVC can refer to several video format file types - which do you mean AVCHD, MPEG 4-AVC or h.264 ?

The source media I tried to edit was once converted with Handbrake and the video codec used is H.264 (x264).

No mentioning of any activation when I tried to import the media. It just gives an error saying that the media is not read or writable.

IIRC there have been many issues with Handbrake conversions to h.264 format.

If the converted files have a .mp4 file extension - try changing it, using Windows Explorer, to .MOV and then importing into VPX again - you will need Quicktime installing if you do not have it

That did the trick. Giving it the quicktime extension "fooled" VPX 7 and now I can play with it finally :D

Thank you very much John EB!
