Hi

. . . .  NVIDIA GPU. Over the last yeat I have found Video X getting more unstable. The current version is unusable as it crashes with minutes I commence editing. . . . .

One of the important things we are doing is keeping the Nvidia GPU drivers up to date - if the GPU is a GTX 1050 or better GTX or RTX series then the current driver version is 512.77 (30.0.15.1277).

If the GPU is a lower specification model then the GTX1050 then try changing the Program Settings, Device options, Import, Processing and Export options to CPU to see if this stabilises the program.

If the above does not help then we need more information:

Full computer specification and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full - I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

A screen shot of the Program settings, Device options tab.

More information on the video file format - download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips and post the results, see this tutorial if you are not familiar with MediaInfo on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip.
