I currently have Vegas Pro 19 registered (but I still get a pop up to upgrade to this version every time I open it which is less of a concern for me) and I wanted to try Vegas Effects. So I downloaded & installed a trial version of Vegas Post. At no point during the installation of Vegas Post was I given the opportunity to activate Vegas Post & I have no idea how to do it now. But I can't even test if Vegas Effects can handle the import of a mov alpha graphic file because I can't even open the program unless I activate Vegas Post. This is so frustrating. If there's an easy fix so I can work with mov lower thirds assets, please let me know.
I've been using Vegas since 2008, but between the pop-up that can't recognize that I already paid to upgrade to Pro, the graphic card driver incompatibility issue that I had to troubleshoot & work around with my 64 bit 16 GB Windows 11 Pro Surface Book 2 laptop & how unstable Vegas Pro is, seems to me like I'll likely be better off learning Adobe After Effects instead. I hope someone can help me to convince me otherwise.
