Vegas and Acid togather...

kawin.god wrote on 10/20/2023, 4:31 AM

After Magix acquired Acid from Sony, there hasn't been any notable development in the software. This suggests that the sales might be very low, and the Acid unit may be operating at a loss.

In contrast, Vegas has seen numerous improvements and appears to be generating a reasonable profit, in my opinion.

Vegas already encompasses about 60 percent of Acid's audio features, with the main gaps being in areas like BPM control, metronome functions, and a musical grid, among others.

I believe that Magix should consider merging Acid into the Vegas platform to create an all-in-one audio and video powerhouse. Why can't Magix envision a digital audio workstation (DAW) and a non-linear video editor (NLE) within a single software package?

Vegas would require just a few adjustments to seamlessly incorporate Acid, as both interfaces look remarkably similar. By merging Acid into Vegas, Magix could release "Vegas: The All-in-One Solution for Audio and Video."

I strongly believe that this strategy could be successful, and a collaborative team could efficiently work on both aspects. Merging the development teams could streamline the process, resulting in an integrated solution that benefits both audio and video professionals.

Thank you for considering these suggestions.

Sincerely,

Kawin

@kawin.god

In addition to what @CubeAce has written, these are user to user forums, not any contact for Magix staff so your suggestion is highly unlikely to be seen by anyone who could act on it.

In addition, there was no point at all in posting the same thing three times! Your other two posts have been hidden.

Since you have been advised to repost to the correct Vegas forum, this thread will be closed.
