uploaded & edited a long movie 5.4 gb aprox 2 hours footage and I am unable to burn to DL DVD using a DL burner. Takes ages to do and when finished writing to disc says an error has occured.  The dvd has film on it and will play on a dvd player then part way through stops in the middle of the film and freezes. Edited out the area of freeze, no better just freezes somewhere else.
Is Edit Pro 15 capable of burning to dual layer dvd's.  I have gone thro loads of discs and the error still keeps happening, even after I uninstalled the programm properly removing all hidden files, disabling anti virus softwear disabling start up items, reinstallind Magix and installing proper updates ect ect. I am producing these dvd's for some clients and they have waited lon enough!! What can I do I would appreatiate some idea's.
System works well with regular 4.7gb dvd's.

Hi ronversci,

you can burn dual layer discs with the program. You would have to check that the dual layer discs you are using are those recommended by your burner manufacturer. Make sure your firmware is uptodate for the drive too. Don't burn too fast either, 2x is plenty.

If it's still not happy, then the chances are you have more than one burn program on your computer. You could export the project as MPEG2 for instance, and then burn it elswhere to see whether other software will manage it better, or at all?

If this is the first time you are doing this, you might want to just use a RW
disc till you know it's working, as this is cheaper in the long run.
