Using Btight/Contrast Gamma etc on one clip not the whole movie

Hi,

I am trying to lighten up a clip within a movie that was taken in a dark room with a bunch of kids at a party.

The room is quite dark so need to lighten it up so at least there is some indication of what it is.

I have messed a bit with gamma but it looks like the whole movie is effected,

How can I just use it for the clip, not the whole?

Thanks

@1940 Hi, if you haven't already you need to cut the clip where you want the Brightness to affect,

you could use the keyframes at the bottom of the Brightness effect but you'll need to create one at the start and end of each part of the video otherwise the brightness will slowly get lighter or darker as it moves between each keyframe, easier to cut the video up but with that you'll get a sudden brightness or darkness as it moves between each cut in the clip, so you'll need to decide what's best for your video, (if the keyframes don't seem to auto appear, you may need to create one manually by clicking the diamond at the top left of the keyframe timeline)

Thank you Gid for the help.

Before I saw your post I decided to place that clip on another track and adjust the gamma there, and it worked.
