USB video driver

Thomas-DeKelver wrote on 5/12/2020, 3:15 PM

Hi, I'm running on Windows 10 Pro (core i7) x64 bit OS. When I install the driver (for red uw video's version 9, afterwards upgrade to 10), I get a successfully installed driver (x86). Unfortunately in my computer manager he still indicates that there is an issue.
When i try to update the driver manually, i get an error message . Any help? Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

. . . . for red uw video's version 9 . . . .

Do you mean Rescue Your Video Tapes 9 ie the current version?

. . . . I get a successfully installed driver (x86). Unfortunately in my computer manager he still indicates that there is an issue. . . .

Can you capture video through the USB capture device?

Are there any markings on the USB capture device and what colour is it?

Hi @johnebaker

yes I have purchased version 10. I got a delivery of the installation cd version 9. After installation I think it upgraded to version 10. This is the version (printscreen). The USB device is black (Model N0 K0065). I get video capture, however without sound.

Regards, Thomas

Hi Thomas

. . . . Model N0 K0065 . . . .

This is a known issue with this device and Windows 10 - download and install the K0067 driver it should fix the problem.

@johnebaker

Hi John, thanks for the tip. The driver is installed and shows no error.

However, I still don't have audio (both S-video and VHS). Image is ok. I checked the windows security settings:

I also checked the security settings - apps are allowed to use microphone and webcam... Should I try to re-install?

Regards,

Thomas

Hi

. . . . apps are allowed to use microphone and webcam . . . .

Does this also apply to Desktop apps?

Do you have a way of testing the VCR output using the SCART to RCA connectors eg have a TV that has the RCA (yellow,red,white) sockets for input?

@johnebaker

Hi John,

thanks for the help. It wasn't the apps setting. Re-installing the driver seemed to help this time.
