David-Bayne wrote on 3/19/2023, 5:55 PM

when I click on the upgrade notification it tells me I will get Xara Pro 365. Is this a continuation of the perpetual licence i have now, or am it being converted to an annual subscription? Don't want to "upgrade" and find I have lost my perpetual licence. My current access to content expires in 3 day so would like help soon please. thanks

@David-Bayne

Hi David,

Look in your account. You'll see that your current version of Xara is actually under Xara Designer Pro X365. This just means the 365 Update Service. The notification is likely reminding you that your current 365 Update Service expires soon and they want you to "Upgrade" meaning pay for another year. I suggest that you wait until after the next version comes out unless there is stuff in the Online Content Catalogue that you have not already downloaded (there seems to be a download problem). If you don't need the OCC, then wait. The program will still keep working, just no OCC or updates/new version. Everything that you downloaded will be available.

The only real subscription is to Xara+ which you would purchase from Xara, not Magix.
