I've received an offer to upgrade to Video Pro X5. Will it be necessary to uninstall the older version (Video Pro X3) or both versions can be kept on the same machine? I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, Core i7, 12Gb RAM machine.
No problem having several versions installed. Under 'Program settings' you can change the default locations for projects, recordings etc to point to the V3 folders if you want.
I have several versions of Magix MEP on my computer. You just can't run them at the same time.
I had VPX4 and VPX5 open at the same time yesterday (simply so that I could make any "custom" changes to VPX5 folder links, in order to not have to make drastic changes to my workflow between versions.) Admittedly, I was not trying to play any files in either program!
