Updating to v.18

I have Designer Pro installed on another drive than the C;\ drive. Having clicked on the update prompt the program is taking 1hr+ to download despite a good connection, and then attempts to install on the C;\ drive. After which a message comes up that it cannot find the program and it then aborts. There appears no option to get the installation to install on another drive. .

I assume you mean Upgrading from an older version to v18 rather than updating to the latest patch?

Was the original program installed to a USB drive or an internal drive that has subsequently had its drive letter changed?

The installer is trying to find the old version which may have 'disappeared' if the program was originally installed to is a USB drive.

Indeed I was upgrading from v.17, installed on another partition of the same HDD. However I have now solved teh problem and have v.18 up. Thanks
