@Richard-Allen

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

I have just quickly visited your site, using Chrome, and everything seems to be opening correctly.

Hi

The website is up - however if you note the terms and conditions of hosting they do state that the guaranteed server availablity is 98% - this allows for scheduled downtime for maintenance.

On another note, your website is missing several legal requirements in particular:

  • Business or registered charity details, ie Company/Charity name, registered number, place of registration, Registered office address, postal address and email address, contact details (including other means then online), VAT number, where applicable, this also includes when the website is not being used for ecommerce transactions.
  • GDPR regulations see here
  • A privacy policy, including use of cookies, any collected data and a disclaimer for liability or what liability the company/charity accepts.
  • Accessibility - see here

Also missing a Copyright notice at the bottom of every web page.

Thank you for your information. I am at present going down the CIC (Community Interest Company) route. However, all this came to ahead back in March when the Covid-19 virus struck us, and all meetings were cancelled. It is hoped that once I have appointed five trustees, I can the register the company and complete all the necessary details.

This is all a new venture for me, and is a complete minefield, of red-tape. Many thanks once again.

@Richard-Allen

Hi

There are many good articles available on the Internet on the issues I raised, even though we are no longer part of the EU the regulations still apply, as they are incorporated in the UK regs.

Good luck with the new venture
