The USDD WDM 2861 Capture device is not listed as a choice in the Audio Source drop down

Hi,

I have just installed Kaiser baas DVD maker "MAGIX Video easy SE- Version 3.0.1.30(UDAA)" from the CD.

Under the option File Audio Capture - Magix video easy indicates that "No audio device found. Record and playback is not possible please connect an audio device and restart the program". Done this a few times.

At the Import screen I Have chosen "WDM 2861 Capture (USB - DShow)" and "Composite" input.

Under Advanced View the list of Audio Source does not include WDM 2861 as a choice. The only choices are Realtek HD Audio Line input, Mike input and sterio input. How can I get the WDM 2861 to show up in the list so that I can select this as the audio input?

The light on the USB device is activated when the program input is activated and the video streams to the preview window OK.

Windows 7 Professional device manager indicates that the device is working properly. The device manager also lists the Realtek HD audio.

What USB device are you capturing with - did it come with the software or are you using some other device?

Have you run the Direct X tests to check this is working OK?

This sometimes lies - the device may be recognized and drivers installed however it will not function eg there is a cheap chinese copy of the Eazy-cap device that does not always function correctly.
