The connection between the vcr and the computer is not recognized, what do I do?

I had to get a new computer.  So I downloaded my Rescue your videotapes cd.  Everything shows that the installation was successful.  Then I connect the vcr to the computer with the usb connector and nothing.  Why isn't it working?  What do I need to do?

Hi

We need more information on which version of Windows you have and is it 32 or 64 bit.

Is the USB drive recognised by Windows and a record source option in RYVT?

Hi

Nearly - you did not answer the second question -  however as the Windows is the 64bit version of 8 and assuming you bought the Magix USB converter then I think you should try updating the USB device drivers available here.

Do make sure you get the 64 bit ones for your USB device.
