Stutter on Playback using Samplitude Music Studio 16

I'm using Samplitude Music Studio 16 on my imac OSX V. 10.9.4, Mem: 8Gb and using Parallels Desktop 9 as my virtual Windows and XP Pro as my plateform.

When I edit any sound and playback to check edits, the playback struggles and stutters. Is it because I am using Parallells? Or can this annoying problem be solved? I have always used Music Studio and various versions over the years and reluctant to find a Mac based sound editor as I really like Music Studio.

Hi

. . . . Is it because I am using Parallells. . . .

More than likely - SMS 16 is not designed to run on a MAC, so any problems you get will certainly come from the 'emulator' software' not creating a true Windows environment.

XP is well past its sell by date with no further support, bug or security fixes from Microsoft.
