Sorry man not fully understanding. Are you trying to import an already mixed song and attemting to deconstruct back to its origanl tracks?

Yeah thats what i'm lookin to do. I'm trying to take two songs and import them into music maker, then break them down back into their original tracks as individual instruments, so that i can edit them and mix them together. So the drums for each song would have their own track, the guitars for each song would have their own track, vocals would each have their own track, etc. That way i can edit each individual part that i want to edit rather then having to edit the song as a whole.

OK, So I think i get it. The thing is it dosn't work that way. Your stereo track or multiple mono track is what it is. It's the sum total mix of those tracks. Even with the best eq's and years of experiance the best you could could do isolate for example the Kick drum at around 60 hz lets say but if you look at the wave form you will see that there are other sounds effecting it. you can tell because it will not be a smooth wave form. You will have to import the raw individual tracks which i'm sure you can 'batch' import them or litterally start to replace all the intruments one by one.

Sorry.

I hope i understood your question. I'd hate to give you the wrong info

Hey no worries, you told me exactly what I was lookin to know. Thanks a ton. After that last response though now my question is what do you mean by 'batch' import them?
I dont know, now i guess im trying to find a source for the raw files. I have no idea how to do that though. Sorry i'm pretty new to all of the audio technical stuff.

I believe if you're importing a mp4 file, wave file, or mp3 files, for example.. you can not separate the drums from the guitar for only the guitar track ..  or any individual track for that matter...  I believe the only way to do that is if by chance you're getting a (.mmm) file from another  Magix Music Maker Brand program.   If I am wrong on this PLEASE let me know Because I'd love to do it also!
