Soundpools not working properly on Music maker 16 and what is computer I.D

Porter247 wrote on 9/16/2010, 12:02 PM

I've just bought Music Maker 16 and the soundpools are very limited and most don't work. The following message appears: The file C:\program files\MAGIX\Musicmaker16 premium_download_version\basics_16\technotrancevol.12\Drums\Minimal Beat A.OGG has been deleted or moved and cannot be used. I'm not using a basic or trial version this is a full licenced copy.

I thought it might have sometihng to with the the activation code as I had not done this but it wants a computer I.D and I don't know what that is. I've put the I.P address etc but nothing works and I am not sure that is the problem anyway. Can anyone advise a solution. Many thanks Porter247 :)

Hi,

First computer ID. it is Hard drive number, when we install a software during that process we have to click some buttons that generates Hard drive number which is called Coputer ID. But I do not think Magix Music Maker need it. But if it ask for computer ID may be new system. You better read pdf file inside your Magix Music Maker Program folder for details.

Do not worry please clear the following and I will try to guide you.

Did you buy Magix Music Maker 16 download version or Box version?

In case of download version you made payment online and did you get confirmation mail with download link and activation code?

Have you already installed purchsed software?

Can you tell me when Magix Music Maker is open under soundpool what styles you can see?

Do you use windows xp, vista or windows 7?

Did you use trial version?

You are saying soundpool are limited,

there are five styles in MMM 16 refer image below,

Most do not work.showing error,

Some time it happens.

I will be waiting for your reply then answer in detail.

In the meantime look at this screen shot this is from boxed version, but soundpool styles will be same even in download version. In download version we have to first install software then have to add free Soundpool from Magix website.

Before you answer my above questions you can also read my pdf file that will also guide you PLEASE take a look.

I also recommend moving the soundpools folder UP towards the top of the folder tree in Windows - i.e. something like C:/soundpools.  I've noticed buggy response of Music Maker not finding soundpools when they are installed/nested too deep down under My Documents (or wherever).

Try moving all the soundpools after they are installed, and then move the folders, and then reset soundpools and reset the path to the soundpools inside Music Maker system settings.

Also, some people have run into the bug where the program will not import .ogg files.  Check for soundpool filenames that have a space _  in the file name.  This is also an issue with Windows search conflicting with Music Makers file manager.

Either way, moving the Soundpools folder, and resetting the soundpools SHOULD fix any further issues.

Thank you for your response to the problems I am having with Music Maker 16. My reply your questions are as follows:

I have bought a box version of Music Maker 16

I have already installed the Music Maker 16 Software

The styles under soundpool are:  Chillout Vol.4 - HipHop Vol.11 - House Vol.10 - Rock Alternative Vol. 2 - Technotrance Vol. 12 Some of these are repeated several times for some reason.

I am using Windows XP Home Edition and I did install the trial version first before buying the box version but uninstalled it before installing the box version.

I do have access to the five styles although as I stated mine is showing 12 styles as many are repeated for some reason. But when I click on instruments and a list of sounds appear on the right hand side related to that instrument many of the sonds don't work. for example. If I click on the style Chillout Vol.4 Then Click on Drums then choose a sound within the Drum section say Heavydrums A the following message appears:

The file C:\program files\MAGIX\Musicmaker16 premium_download_version\basics_16\technotrancevol.12\Drums\Minimal Beat A.OGG has been deleted or moved and cannot be used. I'm not using a basic or trial version this is a full licenced copy.

Many thanks and I hope I have made everthing clear for you. Porter247

Hi,

I hope everything is working now??

If not ....

You have a box version with a DVD.

I´ll tell you what I´ve found out and how it worked for me.

First: go to My Documents- Files for your personal use..

make a new folder named Styles to be put in (name it freely ...)

Put the MMM 16 DVD in, just open it, click on Soundpools.

Open them.

Copy every folder into the named folder on  My Documents.

Second:

Open your software.

Click Y and find (in German)Soundpool bereinigen - clean soundpool. There I removed EVERY Style from the

list.

Then go to: Styles einfügen(German; Styles to be put in ...) I don´t know the correct name..

click on it, find your named folder, click on it.

The list of styles you want should appear - and work hopefully.

And sorry for my English...

Hi,

Thank you for detailed information.

You got two problems.

One you got message file has been deleted or moved and cannot be used.

Second some are repeated styles.

For case one, error message, easy solution, when you know the folder where styles are giving you problem copy that folder and Paste some where such as My Music then from Music Maker use Addstyle example

Chillout Vol.4 giving trouble, copy this folder to My Music then use Addstyle and it should work. I do not suggest to do anything inside Program folder, therefore saying copy the folder in My Music and use Addstyle.

Second problem please refer full details with image how style will not be repeated from page 5 to 7
