Any error messages just before your PC re-boots?  XP was kind of quircky OS, especially if you have the 64 Bit edition.

ps, by the way, Microsoft support for XP ends in April 2014.  You may want to look at a new OS.

Where did you get the disk from? 

It may be a bad disc and should be returned for replacement.

Hi Kennedy:

What you may have to do is copy the contents of the DVD drive onto a folder on your OS.  Then, openb up your version of MMM and direct Soundpool 18 to that folder.  By the way, if your DVD drive has hardware issues, this might be causing the problem.  I never copy Soundpool data directly from the DVD source.  (Too slow anyway).
