I reinstalled Waves 14 and the plugins appeared. However, some plugins do not work, causing Sound Forge to crash.

@rafael-s5034 I suggest you open a ticket with technical support. Click on the SUPPORT at the top of the page, then select your product. On the next page scroll down until you can click on Contact Support and create your ticket.

Waves is notorious for not being 100% compatible with tools that are not listed on their website (see link below).

Only VST3 plugins have a problem. VST2 plugins work normally.

@rafael-s5034 Ok, then you need to live with it.

@emmrecs

Sound Forge has problems that have existed for a long time. I just said the truth.

@rafael-s5034

I have no argument with your assertion that Sound Forge has problems. I know of almost no software that has no problems at all!

What was potentially libellous was the assertion that, according to you, Magix have no interest in resolving those problems.

Hi... It's 2025. Any idea when this is going to be fixed? Given the removal of a libelous statement above, and it's almost 12 months later... your assertion is getting a little tenuous now. 😉
I'm having to use Sound Forge 16 because of this issue... upgrading to 18 seems like a bit of a waste of money for me.
I've just tried 18 again, and it crashes when I attempt to use my WAVES plug-ins, I sent in the error report.

I did some more digging and reading into this... it seems perhaps it's not up to Magix to ensure that WAVES works? It seems that's in the hands of WAVES themselves? If that's the case, can Magix not have a chat with WAVES and get on their good side? 😊
