Smart Render Encoding Issues - Please Help

Hello,

Program : MEPro15
Problem: Video & Audio out of sync & edits in the video don't show up correct.

Video Files: mpeg2

The Problem ----) Smart Render

On a few DVD's, if u check smart render when u burn to DVD it messes up the video big time, the audio & video are out of sync and the amout of space indicator in the settings is wrong. If u uncheck smart render the number is way different. This has only happened on a few videos.

These are mpeg2 files which are editted and cut and need to be issued back to DVD.

Really don't want to recode the entire file cause of lossy mpeg2 files.

Please advise what causes this issue. The format of the videos are NTSC.

Are there any resource issues such as, other RAM intensive program running during this smart render process?

Because this is only happening to a few videos, I would suspect the original source codec that was used in the creation of those DVDs... Where they all created by Movie Edit Pro?

To be honest, I have never used this feature. I guess I should try it to understand better all the steps the program takes, I only understand the general concept.

Can you tell me the length of the problematic video? I will try matching something as closely as possible.

Ok the problem had to do with cutting and mixing clips. Even when I would delete the Time Frame Table and re-load the program it would still create a bad time frame table.

The way this was fixed....Loaded up a new file (same source) with zero edits, created a new time frame table. (Than ripped a small clip) It worked....

Next loaded back up the org file with the cuts and edits. (Some of the edits of the clip files had to be changed since they were than off by a few frames...
