Slow upload; upoad everything changes only box checked; slow website

Daniel-Green wrote on 11/10/2019, 5:52 PM

Thanks, I have noticed similar problems with Web Designer Premium and hope to get some insight here. Designer loads all content each time even though "fast publish" box is checked. The website itself loads from the web painstakingly slow as well. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I have optimized all images as well.

Contacted support but the optimizing thing was the only suggestion except that the hosting sight might be the culprit (How that would prevent 'fast change' in Web Designer Premium I am not sure). In any event, I host with Xara (not the free site!) which Magix should have some information about.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This forum is a joke. Half the questions / posts are entirely unanswered. And then in one response I saw, the guy was criticizing the person that posted for his "unreasonable" impatience. Are you kidding me ?
So anyway, got the same problem as you. The help resources have zero info on load time optimization, render blocking issues. It's like web site optimizing is something that is not related to building a web site. Bunch of amateurs.

@Daniel-Green @Peter-Leuenberger

I suggest that you join, review some of the posts on this topic, and post on TalkGraphics, the forum dedicated to Xara products.

Hi

. . . . This forum is a joke. Half the questions / posts are entirely unanswered. And then in one response I saw, the guy was criticizing the person that posted for his "unreasonable" impatience. Are you kidding me ? . . . .

Please note this forum is not Magix support, it like he TalkGraphics forum is a user to user forum where fellow users help with issues and how to's in their own free time.

If questions have not been answered then it is most likely that other users have no experience of the issue and are unable to help.

Correct attribution/acknowledgement of help given or a solution is very much appreciated by the contributor.

. . . . Bunch of amateurs . . . .

I would advise you to read the Community rules - link at the bottom of the page for this forum and also those at TalkGraphics - comments such as this and ranting are not appreciated by other members and are the quickest way to deter another user from helping.

Point noted, as far as non magix, non xara forum contributors, which it sounds like you are, doing it to be helfpul only. My entire rant is aimed at magix and xara, as for forum contributors like you, well I can and do only appreciate the help and support. And you pointing me to another forum was helpful, there seems to be more info there. So hopefully that clears that up.
Now, if you have a different opinion for this forum and xara / magix's involvement and support, maybe I am just posting in the wrong place and sending support requests to the wrong entity, so that could be helpful.

This is what I meant by correct attribution - it was @browj2 - John CB - who pointed you to the TalkGraphics forum not me I am John EB

@Peter-Leuenberger

Hi Peter,

Like the TG forum (Xara), this is a user to user forum maintained by, but not moderated by Magix, and Magix does not provide support here. The Moderators are very experienced users of some of the Magix/Xara products, but, obvously, not all products. They are not employees of Magix, and this forum is rarely visited by anyone from Magix, and no one from Xara.

Support requests (tickets) can be raised by clicking on the Support link at the bottom of every page (in the black part) of this forum.
