Which version of PS? Check under Help>About... The latest is 20.0.1.52.

I suspect you are using an older version, which used an older Google API to create the map. That older API has now been discontinued; in this situation, you would need to look into updating your version of PS, I think.

I confess to being a little confused by your latest post!

You say you have just updated to the 20-21 version but it still says version 17. Where does what say "version 17"?

When you updated and installed the new version did you also go to Help>Free download? Included there, on the screen that opens, amongst many add-ons (which you should download and install) is the latest version of "MAGIX Travel Maps". That should resolve the problem you are seeing.

@grandad123

If that is what PS reports as your installed version then somehow it has not actually updated!

Assuming you have the app installed in its default location, can you go to C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Photostory Deluxe? The latest version should have installed in a folder labelled "2021". If you have this folder please look in the folder for the file "Photostory.exe". If you right-click on the file and then select Properties, go to the "Details" tab. The Product version should show as 20.0.1.52.

If it is not that version or if that folder does not exist can you again check under Help>Update online and make sure the update completes fully. I seem to remember it is quite a large download file.

Hi

. . . . I have version 17.1.4.152 but have just updated to the 20-21 version but it still says version 17. . . . version 17 comes from the about Photo story it saysversion 17.1.4.152 . . .

This is not Photostory 2021, version 17.1.4.152 is Photostory 2018.

How did you update Photostory to the latest version and where did you get the update from?

@grandad123

I think that is a rather drastic step, but...

If you are intending to proceed as you suggest, please read this tutorial and follow the procedure very carefully. Although written as a guide to users experiencing problems following an upgrade to Windows 10, it also serves as a blueprint to ensure that everything connected with the previous install is removed before the reinstall is attempted.

Hi

. . . . go back on magix site and download it again . . . .

Are you downloading from your account on the Magix web site, and does your account show Photostory 2021 is registered/available to you?.

Login in here then select My Products to see what is registered to you, you will also see download links and serial numbers.

Not to confuse the issue, but just so that you know about Travel Route Animation, it was changed to Travel Maps in the newer versions of PhotoStory. The old version has the scripting problem that you show in your original post, but there is a solution. I won't go into that as you may prefer to use the new Travel Maps instead.
