Hi All,
I've received and email from Magix to purchase the latest version of Magix Video Pro X for $199US. I had previously bought and installed Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 Premium. Is the new Video Pro X worth the cost? I see that Magix includes Mercalli and a couple of other items with this special purchase.
The main thing is that I don't often use the Magix Movie Edit Pro. I often use Premiere Elements 13 for my simple video editing needs. I also use Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 for editing and for capturing video tapes via firewire and the video files are uncompressed avi files. Will Video Pro X allow me to capture video from video tapes via a firewire connection as well? I like the look of Video Pro X and the more intricate video editing possibilities, such as multi-cam editing.
I don't mind spending the $199 for the new Video Pro X, as long as the software is stable. I have Windows 7 Pro installed on my video editing desktop, which is an I7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 64bit, 32GB RAM, and NVidia GTX 650Ti video card. I use a 512GB SSD for my operating system and software, and two 4TB hard internal drives for data storage.
