I am new, by accident, to Xara but have to make changes to my charity website. On the popup I want to put some text but the default is dotted red letters; I want solid black. The user manual is useless, the website tutorials are impossible to get past the introduction and although the prior webmaster downloaded all the tutorials, I cannot find a way to execute them. So, how do I change the color and character of the font in a text box?

The text is red dotted letters because it is on the Guide layer of the web page.
Here is how to fix it:
If the text is on a popup window that appears when you hover the mouse over it then you need to drag it to the layer that contains the popup.
To change the text colour, using the Text tool and drag the mouse over the text to highlight it and select a colour from the colour options at the bottom of the window.
