Samplitude Music Studio 16: Why is the 1st note of a Midi recording recorded 1 beat early?

I ma recording using a Yamaha CP50. When I record usiung Midi track and play in time to a metronome, the 1st note I play is recorded one beat to early. This is can bee seen on the Midi editor music score. E.g. I am recording in 4/4. I wait 4 beats and play the 1st note on the 5th beat. This is recorded as the last beat of the 1st bar and not the 1st beat of the 2nd bar.

How can this be resolved? It is not possible to record in conjunction with Sample tracks because of this.

Hi,

Have you check the value of the synth. latency in the MIDI section of the program parameters (shortcut Y).

Increasing this value takes into account the computer time needed by the VST. In your case, decrease this value.
