Hello. I'm having a rather infuriating dilemma over the content packs I originally had available to me with SMS 14, Download Version.
The situation is this: After getting infected with a rather nasty virus, I was forced to format and reinstall Windows XP and all the programs I own, including SMS. This, of course, means I would have to reinstall its associated content packs, which I burned to a CD for safekeeping. Unfortunately, the content packs I originally downloaded do not install, instead stating that no supported MAGIX software can be found.
I'm thinking that I managed to download the wrong version initially. I seem to recall having this problem a couple years back when I transferred from an old machine to the computer I currently own, and having to track down the download links for the content. I threw the links in a text file in case I needed them again, which was probably a stupid idea, because I lost them when I reformatted.
But I figure, no problem, I can probably find the content packs again. Well, I can't. I've looked up and down the MAGIX website, did some very specific refined Google searches, and managed to find content packs for a few other MAGIX programs--but not mine. I downloaded a different program's content to see if it would work, because it had all the same content I had before, but as I expected it wouldn't install either.
So my question is this: Assuming the content packs I have are correct, is there any way someone has found to work around the "No supported software" error? Assuming they aren't correct, does anyone know where I can find the correct content packs and download them? Or anywhere I can at least find the Yellow Tools free Vita instruments? Please, any help at all is appreciated, because I had quite a bit of work done with Vita that I can't finish without them. Thanks.
