Rescue Your Video

I can get sound from the video but only a webcam of myself, I get a message saying that the recording device is not supported by the audio sample set at 48000 and needs tto be changed to 192000 but the number is not there, how can I find this , thanks

 

I am using Windows 7 on a Dell laptop, VHS pal video combo, and version 7 of Rescue your Video Tapes.

Hi

If in the Record / Import video dialog you should have the option to select the video source - you should be selecting . . . . from Analogue sources . . . and an option to select the source - you need the USB device selecting as the source.

If you cannot select the analogue source then you need to turn off the laptop webcam - exactly where you do this depends on the laptop and should be in the user manual.

If you cannot turn off the webcam then you need to disable it - this is normally done in the BIOS settings - exactly where depends on the BIOS version of the laptop.  Again this may be mentioned in the laptop manual or you will have to search online for the information and do this at your own risk.
