Recording in Music Studio 2013

Why does track one record again onto track 2 while I am recording track 2, and why do both of those tracks record again onto track 3 while I am recording track 3??  Help would be so appreciated!

I finally found my problem.  I had to go to my "input list" and put "line in" to the top of the list.  Now everything is working properly!
