Has anyone been able to transfer SMS Project Files (.VIP) from one PC to another running the same version of SMS (e.g., SMS 2014 in my case)? I can of course transfer (export) individual wave files and then import those files into a new project. I am hoping that the .vip files are somehow transferrable (with attached midi and audio) in order to support project development and collaboration by individuals at different studio locations. Thank You
OK - After some internet research I have concluded that transferring of Project Files from one PC to another is not possible with Music Studio or most other Studio Recording Software. I think the much more expensive 'industry standard' Pro Tools DAW may support such collaboration since it is used in many commercial studios. However, given all its other features and its affordability, I think SMS is still hard to beat for many independent or small project studio recording/mixing/mastering applications!!!
