Problem playing Photo Story 2014 Delux burned DVD

rbml.cassidy wrote on 11/6/2013, 11:01 PM

I have updated to Photostory 2014 Deluxe.  When I complete a project all seems ok.  When I burn to "DVD Video" the DVD Disc plays okay (on my Blue Ray player).  When I burn to "Blue Ray" the resultant DVD disc won't play on my Blue Ray player at all.  When I burn to "AVCHD" the resultant DVD plays but has several "freezes" during the playing of the DVD.  Can any body assist with solutions to these problems please?

Hi

What brand and type of disc are you using for the BD/AVCHD?

Hi Bob

Verbatims are usually reliable however there have been noted problems with certain types (series) of discs.

There should be a 5 digit type number or series name on the package - what are they?

Also how old is the DVD/BD recorder and has been used a lot?

What make/model s the BD player?

This site may also help in choosing discs.

When I burn my project to DVD-R disc and if I select "Blue Ray", the completed DVD disc will not play in my Blue Ray Player (which is the current Panasonic model with the latest "firmware" installed).  Should I be using a different type of disc to burn to?  If I burn the project to normal 'DVD" it works fine and plays on my player.  The blank DVD-R Verbatum discs I am using has the following number on the cover piece:  RM#171063.

I have used 6 or 7 discs trying to solve this problem, without any success.

Could there be something in the "settings" for buring the project that I need to address?
