Hi

Depending on the template and where the image has been placed the effect for that position is cropping / zooming the image.

. . . . no matter what size I make the picture externally when I load it its still the same . . .

Make the image the same aspect ratio (AR) as the project - ie if the image AR is 5:4 and the project AR is 16:9 then you must crop the image to the same AR as the project.

Thanks, I'm new to Photostory so I don't know how to do that, not having a timeline and it's associated tools on templated movies certainly doesn't help. Thanks for your help anyway.

Hi

To make the image the same aspect ratio as the project you crop the image in your external editor and save it with a different name to preserve the original.

Thank you so much, yeah I made my images smaller externally but that just seemed to add at the same size as the slideshow still looked the same with cropped heads. I will try again though, thanks once again
