Photostory Playback Timing Off

PS Deluxe v19.0.2.46.  Created slideshow, 24 B&W slides, no effects, standard transition, single audio track.  The time line looks correct, the audio track is lined up correctly.  But when I play it back the slides play longer or shorter than the durations they're set to, and differ each time I play back the show. The slides don't transition with the scroll bar. The total time appears ok. The audio starts and ends correctly and is not intended to be synchronized with the show. Average photo size is about 47MB. I set the project for 4K editing. System info: Windows10; 64bit, 2.4GHz Quad-Core (7.8G RAM available); NVIDIA GT 650M (2017MB VRAM).

Hi and welcome to the forum

I cannot replicate this.

Did you use the Slideshow wizard to create the slideshow if so was the music added at the same time or later?

If not can you post a screenshot showing the full timeline and a section of the timeline showing 2 - 3 images.

I made a slideshow with pictures of similar composition but much smaller file sizes and the slideshow timing tracked fine in timeline mode. I went back to the working files from my original slideshow and managed to reduce size of each almost 90%. Most are still near 10MB but there was a slight improvement when I ran the timeline again, and the ones that were around 1MB tracked perfectly. I was very pleased when I uploaded to YouTube with HVEC. The timing was good, and although the large file still affects the clarity, it's greatly improved over the same show I created with a different product, especially the reduced pixelization and digital artifacts in the black areas. Looking forward to more projects using Photo Story Deluxe. Thanks Magix.

Hi

Pleased to hear you have sorted the problem.

BTW, this is a user to user forum - Magix staff do not frequent the forums regularly.
