if it works on some DVD players, then you are doing nothing wrong.

It is more likely that some players cannot read the brand of disc you are using, this usually happens with older players and discs which have a darker purple dye - the olders lasers are not as powerful as newer players and have trouble reading the discs.

The best discs I have used which play on almost all the players I have had/tested (icluding a 10 year old Panasonic DVD recorder) are based on the G5 dye.

The dvd play on computers, but not all dvd players. I have a sony blu ray dvd player an the dvd's I make do not play on it. I think the problem is in the program, not the dvd's themself.
