@RONALD-STEVENS

Hi

The basic procedure is to work in Timeline mode as seen in the short video clip below adding the effect, changing the text, and using Size, Position & Rotation to adjust the size/position of the speech bubble and text - note the bubble and text are 2 separate objects.

John, I need your help again, I alsmost got my video finished, when it froze completely, I had to power off the laptop. So I am now thinking I need to get a new laptop as this one I have is old, so I just ordered a new Lenovo legion 5 AMD RYZEN 5, 6600H, 16GB, 512 GB WINDOWS 11. so when i ge tit this week, should I delete the 2023 version I have on my old and then reload on the new, and start over? or if i transfer the old over to the new, will it still be a issue? I am a old guy and not very tecky, so any help is appreciated

@RONALD-STEVENS

How "old" is your present computer? Perhaps more importantly, what is its spec? PS does not require an especially powerful computer and it alone may not be the reason why you experience the freeze.

When you get your new laptop you will need to download the installer for PS 2023 from your Magix account and reinstall it, register/activate it and then download and install all the available extra content. You can transfer ALL your source images and the PS project file from your old to your new laptop but you cannot simply transfer the program.

Some things to be aware of:

  • Opening on your new computer a PS project created on the old one will require that ALL the source images, videos, audio tracks etc., etc. are in locations with exactly the same names as on your old machine. Otherwise, you will need to point the computer to exactly where all the constituent elements are saved on your new laptop.
  • There is no need to uninstall the version on your old machine at least until you have verified that everything on the new machine is working properly.
  • However, there is a limit to the number of simultaneous activations that you can have. So, if you have activated the software on your old machine more than once you will need to go to that same Magix account, find the listing (under My products) for PS 2023 and deactivate any installations you no longer need.
