I have photostory deluxe 2021. I have videos that were recorded at 4Kx30fps.
1) Will I be able to use the 4Kx30fps video in my photo story? any limitations to be aware of?
2) if not it is not supported, what is the highest resolution video that is supported by this version of the software?
3) what is the highest resolution photograph that is supported by this version of the software?

Did you try loading one of the video files?
Photostory 2021 does support 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 video, however if it is a MOV file then it may not be supported depending on the encoding inside the MOV container file and whether you have Quicktime installed.
Download and install MediaInfo and use it to analyse one of the 4K video files and post the results from the Text view.

Hi john. the video is created with a dji osmo action camera. it is an mp4 format.
I did try reading it in. it does not play smoothly and at times stops altogether. sometimes it starts up again but other times the application crashes.
I will post an update after running MediaInfo.

In addition to the MediaInfo analysis - what is your computer specification - see this topic for details of what is required and please quote the processor and graphics card make/model in full.

I'm pretty certain the reason for the problems you are experiencing with playback of 4k video in PS is down to the fact your computer is considerably under-spec, especially the CPU, sorry.
These are the minimum requirements which Magix list for PS Deluxe 2021:
Notice the CPU requirements, Quad Core, yours is only Core Duo. These are the minima, 4k requires considerably more than the minima.
