Photosory Deluxe Bug

Steve-Iman wrote on 7/28/2020, 2:01 AM

I was doing my first project with Photostory Delux, version 19.0.2.46UP03, and was almost finished. I was adding music to the slides and wanted to shuffle some of the songs around. So with my mouse, I wanted to slide two songs that were near the middle of my project to the right of the ending, I was in storyboard mode and moved one song. But as I was moving the other, the whole storyboard area went black and I haven't been able to recover the storyboard mode. I can change to the Timeline mode and the slides appear. But, if I can't get the storyboard part of the program to work with my project, I have wasted three days!

I am using Windows 10 with the latest updates. My hardware is a Lenovo Intel I7 computer with 16 gigabytes of ram. I have one 1TB internal hard drive and 4 external hard drives. Each of those are 4-6TB.

Hi

. . . . I can change to the Timeline mode and the slides appear. But, if I can't get the storyboard part of the program to work with my project, I have wasted three days! . . . .

Try resetting Photostory back to its default settings - File, Settings, Reset program to default settings - note this will lose any customisations you have made to the folders paths.

Working in Timeline mode is much more flexible and gives you greater control than working in Storyboard mode.

Okay, I found the problem. When I slid the two songs to the right, the last song dropped down about 8 lines below the photos. I have limited space for the mouse which causes me to twist my wrist some. This caused everything in the storyboard to scroll off the dialog editing box. Everything was still there, it just wasn't visible. I just had to scroll back up to the top. This not a bug in the software but caused by operator error.
