Not recording track played back

I have recorded a drum backing track. I want to listen to this and play a melody on a keyboard. I want to record the melody BUT not the drum track i.e. so that I have the melody and drum on separate tracks.

I think it would be better if you listen drum track on Ipod or CD/DVD player using headphone other than computer and use Keyboard and record.

Since you posted this question, I had been thinking but did not find solution yet.
On MMM 16 if you got Drum track if you will listen then your keyboard and drum will be recorded together, if you mute drum track you can not hear, therefore,
I think try easy way as I explained in the start and see.
