"Non-interleaved media stream"

This is a copy of a post I made to the "Churches That Live Stream" FB page.

Hi, y'all!! Our church live streams using an Epiphan Pearl Mini, and I think it works just great! They have recently updated their software to include the ability to upload a video and play it back from the device, rather than just still photos. I love the feature, as I make a pre-service video that includes a verse from the day's gospel and weekly announcements. I used to have to run that from our laptop and feed it to the Epiphan. What they haven't done is added the ability to upload audio and play it back from the device. I run 10 minutes before our prelude starts, of if I run into any issues, I can hopefully fix them before the service officially starts.

SO...My announcements video is about 3 minutes long and it loops in the Epiphan. The audio is also a video with no picture, but 10 minutes worth of music. These both play at the same time. [Making 10 minute movie with audio takes longer than I want to spend. I'm hoping that I don't have to.]

And the problem is, the Epiphan [or maybe it's FB?] gives me a warning that I have a "non-interleaved media stream" for the actual video, but no such warning for the one that only has the audio.

My question is: What does that mean, and how can I fix it? I'm using Movie Studio 2022 Platinum to make my videos. Do I need to find another software? Would there be settings inside the program to make them be interleaved?

Any help appreciated, and I will be posting this in the forums for my software.

On this screenshot, under Multiplexer, what do the settings for "Steamable" and "HTML Smart File" mean and what should they be set at?

Thanks!

@art-l

I am by no means an expert in this field but I suspect the error message is being caused by the fact that your "audio" and "video" are being fed from two separate files, both of which are seen as "videos", rather than being integrated into one.

I think you can safely ignore the warning.
